DISCOVER HEADLANDS BEST KEPT SECRET – THE PANTRIES

OUR FAVORITE PROVISIONS FOR EVERY ADVENTURE

May 2022

No trip to Headlands is complete without a stop (or three) at the Headlands Pantry. Located on each floor of the lodge, our pantries are stocked with tasty treats and beverages to satisfy your every craving. We research and sample each selection before it lands on our shelves and seek out makers who are committed to their craft by relying on handcrafted, small batch techniques, and high-quality ingredients. Many of our snacks are sourced from the pacific northwest, but a few cross many state lines to reach us, like our irresistible Sea Salt Vanilla and Raspberry Rhubarb Goat Milk Caramels. Here are a few of our favorite choices:

Provisions to sustain an afternoon of hiding out in your guest room:

While there’s certainly plenty of adventure to occupy an Oregon coast getaway, be sure to find time to spend an afternoon (or perhaps the whole day!) holed up in the sanctuary of your oceanfront guest room. Grab our favorite Kombucha, featuring delicious combinations such as Blueberry Ginger or Pomegranate Rose, pair it with a bag of addictive Nuts on the Run  or some Sea Salted Brûlée popcorn from Miss Hannahs and make plans to disappear into a good book next to your gas fireplace or spend the afternoon watching the tides ebb and flow from your private balcony.

The perfect beach-day treats:

Grab your beach towels, pick up a bag or two of our ever popular White Truffle Goofy Foot Pretzels and a couple of Honey Bar Jr Candy Bars, and you are ready for an afternoon of watching the surf action at Cape Kiwanda.

Snacks to fortify your coastal adventures:

Before heading out to discover our magnificent coastline by foot, bike, or kayak stop by the pantry to grab our favorite trail snack combination. Pick out some Werner jerky, made in nearby Tillamook, pair it with a nut butter bar from the folks at Big Spoon Roasters and some dried fruit from The Ugly Company and you are set for a day of coastal exploration.

Late-night craving remedies:

Trust us, nothing quite compares to devouring a pint of Tillamook Ice Cream while cozied up on your private balcony at midnight, unless of course, you follow it with a Portland-made Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwich. We won’t tell.

Don’t forget to visit the pantry during your stay at Headlands any hour of the day or night to select your favorite treats. After dropping your pantry slip, check out the beautiful artwork just inside the door—it is called “Gesture of Being Held,” and was painted on the Oregon coast by Portland artist, Jenny Siegel.
