After a beautiful, tail-wagging drive to Pacific City and a warm greeting at Headlands Welcome Desk (spoiler alert—we LOVE meeting new furry friends) check into your spacious pup-friendly guest room stocked with all the furry-friend accouterments needed for a fun and relaxing getaway.
Head to the beach for an afternoon stroll and perhaps a game of stick-chasing along our endless coastline. Pro-tip from our doggie-owner team members: pent-up doggie energy is quickly tamed with a climb up the Great Dune at Cape Kiwanda. After your family beach outing, rinse off Fido’s paws at our warm outdoor pup wash-station.
At dinnertime, reserve a special pup-friendly table at Meridian Restaurant & Bar and enjoy a memorable coastally-inspired meal while Fido snoozes by your feet.
Stop by the Adventure Desk to grab maps to our nearby pup-friendly trails. PC Pathways provides a lovely 1.5-mile morning outing that is walkable from the lodge. The path winds its way through a stand of Douglas fir and climbs through an old-growth forest. At the halfway point you’ll find a perfect spot to rest together and enjoy the magnificent views of the coastline. Just down the road, Sitka Sedge provides stunning views of tidal flats, saltwater marshes, and forested wetlands. It offers a variety of hiking trails for you and your pup, from a 1.5-mile trail to an entire 4-mile loop. Don’t forget to bring along a few doggie treats provided in your guest room for trail-snack-time.
After a day of adventuring, enjoy a leisurely afternoon together watching the beach action from your private oceanfront balcony. We’re sure your pup will enjoy snuggling in for an afternoon nap in their special ultra-comfy Ginger Bed.
