A CLOSER LOOK AT OUR SEASONAL EXPERIENCES

Each season on the Oregon coast offers its own unique appeal and special opportunities to head out or stay in, as we like to say. In the spring our surroundings reawaken with astounding beauty and we hike to hidden waterfalls gorged with rain-and-snow melt and venture to Cape Lookout to catch sight of the grey whales on their northerly migration. Summer’s long days and warm temperatures invite adventure on our magical trails and evening bonfires on our beaches. In autumn the culinary bounty of our region changes to fishing and foraging amidst the changing colors in nearby forests and meadows. Winter ushers in an experience like no other with dramatic storms, exhilarating king tides, magnificent sunsets, and the chance to recharge in the seductive solitude of the season.
Headlands’ first immersive experience took flight in 2020 with our Summer Coastal Reset. Inspired by our teams’ deep desire to share our collective love of the North Coast and the endless opportunities for exploration and discovery each season provides, our experiences are crafted to offer guests the chance to immerse themselves in our unique setting and deep sense of place while enjoying a sampling of the culinary, adventure, and wellness offerings available during an extended coastal getaway. In addition to our three-night Coastal Reset, our experiences have grown to include a two-night North Coast Babymoon and a two-night Weeknight Recharge Experience. All our experiences provide a chance to enjoy a taste of our seasonal adventures and offerings and plenty of time to savor the blissful solitude of our magnificent coastal surroundings.
Our Fall Coastal Reset Experience, available through November, offers guests the opportunity to reset and recharge during the dramatic change of seasons. It features kayaking on our local waterways—a favorite Oregon coast outing. Depending on the tides, experience levels, and of course, changing weather patterns on the coast, each excursion is unique. Our Adventure Team may choose to launch from the Nestucca River, Little Nestucca, or perhaps Whalen Island. Guests can spend time with the Meridians Chef Team and learn an essential North Coast culinary skill in our Crab Shaking 101 class. And of course, because we believe that no proper getaway is complete without a spa treatment, the experience includes Tidepools Muscle Recovery, one of our favorite massages.
Winter will soon be upon us. Our Winter Coastal Reset Experience offers unique opportunities to enjoy our region’s seasonal culinary bounty, our therapeutic spa treatments, and the special experience of cozying up to watch our famous Pacific Northwest winter storms from the privacy of your oceanfront balcony. Stay tuned for new experiences taking flight in early 2022 – perhaps an opportunity to reserve an adventurous girlfriends getaway weekend, or a special romantic retreat for two.
