CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 – ACTIONS WE ARE TAKING

_

UPDATE: 3/21/20

Friends of Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa,

Based upon the most recent information, we believe the right thing to do is to close Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa starting tomorrow, 3/22, at noon, to help control the spread of COVID-19 and protect our employees, our community, and the greater good. If everyone does their part, this will be more likely to be short-lived and that is the reason we’ve made this decision—we want to be part of the solution. We are currently taking reservations for May 1st forward, please keep in mind that as the recommendations from the local governments change, we must change with it. We will continue to honor cancellations and modifications due to Covid-19 with no penalties.

Additionally, Meridian Restaurant & Bar will temporarily close, too.

Thank you for your understanding at this time,

Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa

UPDATE: 3/16/20

Friends of Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa,

The safety of our guests, employees, and community is our utmost priority. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, in compliance with Governor Kate Brown’s guidelines, we will pause in-restaurant dining services at Meridian Restaurant and will continue to offer takeout and room service for our guests. Lodge guests of Headlands will be able to order off the in-rooming dining menu at this time and we will waive our in-room dining fees. To continue to serve our local community and guests, we will be open for food pickup at this location.

We will remain open and will continue to be hyper-vigilant on frequent cleaning and sanitation of all areas of guest contact, including all frequently used surfaces. Headlands is committed to ongoing employee awareness and training. Our lodge staff is receiving regular communication focused on best practices for cleanliness and sanitation. We will keep you updated on our plans and details of service here.

We will continue to review and monitor our approach and will adjust to the recommendations and advice of the CDC and other relevant public agencies.

To our valued guests,

The health, well-being, and safety of employees and guests of Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa, Meridian Restaurant & Bar and Tidepools Spa & Wellness are our highest priorities.  Although there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the communities we serve, we would like to assure you that our team is committed to maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness including sanitation and disinfection.

Kiwanda Hospitality Lodging locations have always exceeded Oregon Department of Health standards, of which we are proud.  We are committed to employee awareness and training and all hotel staff including front desk, housekeeping, spa and restaurant teams are receiving regular communication focused on best practices for cleanliness and sanitation.  There is also a heightened vigilance for frequent and ongoing sanitization throughout all areas of guest contact, including gathering places, meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, spa, and of course our guestrooms.

We will continue to review and monitor our approach and will adjust our training and communication to the recommendations and advice of the CDC and other relevant public agencies.  For the latest information on COVID-19, visit www.cdc.gov/Coronavirus.
